The "Ventura" was detained in Gdynia following its arrival on Feb 18, 2016, after an inspection found eight deficiencies: 1) Radio communications - Facilities for reception of marine safety inform Inoperative 2) Fire safety - Fixed fire exthinuishing installation Inoperative 3) Fire safety - Jacketed high pressure and oil leakage alarm -Missing 4) Fire safety - Fire detection and alarm system Inoperative 5) Pollution Prevention - Sewage treatment plant' Not as required 6) Propulsion and auxiliary mach. - Auxiliary machinery Insufficient power 7) Propulsion and auxiliary machiner - UMS . Double trouble in Vigo

The "Ventura" remained at Vigo due to an engine fault, which occurred on its voyage from Aveiro to Szczecin, since Jan 20, 2019. The vessel attempted to sail again on Jan 27, but again encountered engine problems and required assistance of the salvage tug "Maria Pita" and berthed at 3.55 p.m.

Cargo ship suffered suffered a broken exhaust manifold gasket

The "Ventura" en route from Waterford, suffered a broken exhaust manifold gasket in position 49 08 28.8 N, 06 21 54 W, on Oct 16, 2018, at 06.40 a.m. Multiple attempts to contact the vessel which was NUC by the Falmouth Coastguard failed. The "Ventura" finally made contact with CGOC Falmouth at 08.55 a.m. and reported the problem. The vessel was back underway at 09.30 a.m.and proceeding to Penzance to pick up spare parts and an engineer.
