Engine trouble off Start Point
The 'Victoriaborg', en route from Rauma to Alexandria with 10 crew members and 9.000 tonnes of wooden boards on board suffered problems with the main engine, which had to be shut down, 28 nautical miles south of Start Point in position 49 46 18 N, 003 25 48 W on March 2, 2022, at 3 p.m. Repairs were estimated to last until 4.30 p.m. UTC, and the sship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of March 12.
Lock allision in Ijmuiden
In the morning of Dec 23, 2015, the "Victoriaborg", enroute from Barcelona to Amsterdam, allided with a gate of the lock in IJmuiden. Two metal gates were pulled down. A rope was stretched between the two gates and the ship went astern. Through the power of the engine the damaged fences were straightened again. The ship itself suffered a dent in the bow.
