Collision on Changjiang River
The bulk carrier 'Vega Dream' (IMO: 9532094) collided with the 'Yangze 22' on the night of Dec 30. 2024,at 10 p.m. on the Changjiang River. The 'Yangze 22' suffered damage to its hull and was moored at Hengsha East Anchorage for damage assessment. About nine metric tonnes of fuel oil spilt due to the collision. The Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration (MSA), together with several support craft deployed by owner company,were conducting the clean-up of the fuel oil spilt. Both ships were in stable condition and no injuries to the crews have been reported. The 'Vega Dream' anchored in pos. 31° 32' N 121° 23' E.
