Engine trouble off Lipsoi

The Port Authority of Lipsoi was informed in the morning of Aug 15, 2021, by the captain of the "Zefyros", which was operating the route Lipsoi-Agia Marina Lerou-Kalymnos, that there were problems with the starboard side main engine off Leros. The ferry returned to the port of Lipsoi, where it moored safely. The Port Authority banned the ship from sailing until the damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was presented by the monitoring classification socitey. The ship remained stationary in port as of Aug 17.

Engine trouble off Alexandroupolis

The Alexandroupolis Port Authority was informed by the captain of the 'Zefyros' in the afternoon of Aug 22 that during the scheduled sailing from Samothraki to Alexandroupolis with 69 passengers on board, an increase in the central engine temperature was remarked 6,5 nautical miles from the port of Alexandroupolis. The ship safely reached the port and disembarked its passengers. The Alexandroupolis Central Port Authority detained the ship until the damage was repaired and a class certificate issued by the attending classification society.
