Engine malfunction in Bosphorus

The 'Abalone' suffered an engine malfunction en route from Galati to Kocaeli during the transit of the Bosphorus on Feb 1, 2022. The ship requested assistance, and the Directorate General of Coastal Safety tasked the tug 'Kurtarma 10' and a pilot to take it to the Büyükdere Anchorage for troubleshooting. Deck damage in Gebze

During discharge operation, the "Abalone" suffered structural damages to its main deck handrails and hatch coamings at Gebze on May 5, 2019. The stevedore has confirmed repair of damages prior to departure of the vessel. The ship left the port again on May 6 at 10.30 p.m., bound to Varna, ETA May 8.
