Grounding on Paraná river

The "Beks Halil" ran aground at kilometre mark 313 f the Paraná river on June 15, 2019. The vessel was sailing downriver after having loaded at ADM Agro berth at the port of San Lorenzo, having a draught of 10.48 meters. The ship was refloated by the tug "Coopor Estibador I". On June 18 at 9 p.m. it dropped anchor at the port of Ramallo and later that day proceeded downstream towards La Plata.

Pet coke spill in Puerto Cortes

There was some spillage of the cargo of pet coke from the "Beks Halil" on Dec 31, 2018, in Puerto Cortes. There were no damages to report. All the spillage was cleaned the penalty is in process. The vessel sailed on Jan 3, 2019.

Collision in Strait of Singapore

Mon Mar 04 12:03:14 CET 2013 Timsen

While passing the Strait of Singapore, the "Beks Halil" was in collision with athe "Thuan My" which was suddenly veering across its course, on Mar 3, 2013. The collision occurred about 3.4 kilometres south of Sisters Islands. Video footage shows the smaller vessel veering to port and across the course of the "Beks Halil" which was underway from Haldia to Navlakhi at that time. The smaller cargo vessel was hit on port side in the aft after it was unable to stop or alter course for the larger ship. The Singapore Coast Guard was called to the incident but there were no reports of any injuries. The Vietnamese-registered cargo vessel suffered damage to one of its hatches. Traffic in the Singapore Strait was also not affected. The "Thuan My" was shifted to the Raffles Reserved Anchorage for repairs. The bulk carrier had no significant damage and continued its journey.
