Ship intercepted with cocaine off Columbia

The "Cap San Taneiro" was intercepted by the Colombian Navy and a fast response team in the Caribbean on Aug 2, 2018, off Cartagena, when the ship was en route to Caucedo. Anti-drug team boarded the ship, checked containers and found in one of them 1.144 packages of pure cocaine, hidden in a container loaded with wine. The total weight of found cocaine was 1.144 kilo. 15 persons allegedly related to this shipment were arrested, some crew members were are among them. The ship was engaged on the Eurosal Loop 1, and the cocaine was destined for Antwerp Belgium. The shio was taken back to Colombian waters and moored at Barranquilla Anchorage with investigations ongoing.

Gantry crane broke off mast

After its arrival in the port of Valparaiso from Angamoson Jan 10, 2018, a mast on the upper bridge deck of the "Cap San Tainaro" was broken off when being hit by a gantry crane of the Pacifico Sur Container Terminal. The departure of the ship to Callao, ETA Jan 16, was delayed due to the damage. By Jan 15 the container ship was still berthed in Valparaiso.
