Medevac after injury

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service co-responded with ambulance crews on April 25, 2026, to assist an injured person onboard the visiting 'Dar Młodzieży' in the port of Douglas. Working closely together, fire and ambulance crews assessed the situation and used a turntable ladder to safely extricate the casualty from the ship and transfer them ashore for further care. Student died in fall from mast

A tragic accident occurred on board of the 'Dar Mlodziezy' on July 20, 2020, in the Baltic Sea during a 1-day training cruise with students on board. A 19-year old student fell from a mast and later died from his injures. The ship returned to Pomorskie in Gdynia, from where she started the training cruise on July 19.
