Mon Dec 10 10:34:46 CET 2018 Timsen

The "Duygu" suffered an engine failure at the northern entrance of the Istanbul Strait enroute from Bartin to Istanbul and dropped anchor on Dec 6, 2018. A class surveyor and the owner's tech superintendent attended on board to ascertain the cause. Repair works could not be carried out by the crew. The coastal safety tug "Kurtarma 2" attended to provide assistance to Tuzla on Dec 8 at 9.30 a.m. During the strait passage the coastal safety tug "Kurtarma 8" provided additional escort service. The vessel arrived at Tuzla roads and entered a shipyard upon completion of formalities in the evening of Dec 8.
