DFDS has reviewed its Belgium-UK-Norway services and will introduce the 1,891-lanemetre FINLANDIA SEAWAYS – withdrawn from Zeebrugge-Rosyth following her engine room fire and immediate closure of the route in mid-April – on a weekly Zeebrugge-Immingham-Brevik-Frederikstad-Halden-Brevik-Zeebrugge rotation.

Ferry to be towed to drydock

Thu May 10 17:12:28 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Finlandia Seaways" was to be towed to a repair facility around May 16 as the damage was extensive. Negotiations were currently ongoing with the repair facility prior to a contractual agreement being signed. The vessel will then be under repair for another extended period of time at the designated shipyard for what sounds to be another month at least. The ferry may be fully operational and trading again approximately from the 3rd week of June.
