GErman passenger medevaced off Cartagena
On Oct 1, 2025, a medical evacuation of a German passenger became necessary from the 'Mein Schiff 2' enroute from Malaga to Valencia. The SAR boat 'Salvamar Draco' was mobilized by CCS Cartagena of fSalvamento MArítimo. The patient was embarked and,transported her to the yard basin in the port of Cartagena, where an ambulance was waiting for further transport to hospital. Medevac off Mazarrón
On Oct 10, 2024, the 'Mein Schiff 2', bound for Malaga, requested the medical evacuation of a patient three nautical miles south of Mazarrón. The SAR helicopter Helimer 205 was mobilized by the CCS Almería of Salvamento Marítimo. The patient was embarked and transported to the airport, where he was picked up by an ambulance for further medical care in a hospital.
Medevac off Palamós
On Aug 2 the 'Mein Schiff 2', whicj was located 65 nautical miles off Palamós, requested the medical evacuation of sick passenger who was treated by the on-board doctor. The RCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Barcelona mobilized the 'Salvamar Lyra' to assist. The patient along with fhis amily and a nurse were transferred aboard and disembarked in L'Estartit, where he was further treated by medical personnel.
