Engine trouble in Istanbul Strait

The 'Ollan', while en route from Varna to Istanbul, suffered a technical failure while entering the Istanbul Strait from the northern entrance on Sep 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. The vessel moored at Büyükdere anchorage where repairs were commenced by the crew. After the repair was completed, the ship resumed its voyage and dropped anchor near Laurium in pos. 37° 43.80' N 024° 3.93' E in the morning of Sep 23.

Tug suffered propeller trouble

The Port Captaincy of Sigri was informed in the morning of May 23, 2019, by the captain of the "Ollan" (IMO: 9064360) that upon its arrival at the anchorage a damage to the propeller had occurred. The tug was enroute from Burgas, where it had sailed on May 20, to Beirut with a crew of five on board. The tug was forbidden to leave until the submission of a certificate of seaworthiness by the attending classification society.
