Structural failure at the starboard bow
The 'VF Tanker-22' suffered a structural failure at the starboard bow on the external section of the forecastle above the water line at Istanbul anchorage on Feb 19, 2021. The vessel subsequently shifted to Tuzla anchorage and entered a shipyard on Feb 20. Permanent repairs together with steel replacement were carried out in the yard. The repairs were completed on Feb 21. Upon completion of the formalities, the vessel will sail from Tuzla. It remained stationary as of Feb 23.
Collision off Kavkaz
The 'VF Tanker-22', enroute from Burgas to Yeysk with an ETA as of Jan 17, 2021, and the cargo m/v 'Captain Ivan Vikulov', (IMO: 8862038), coming from Rostov-on-Don, were in collision in the Kerch Strait off the port of Kavkaz in the evening of Jan 15. The hulls of both vessels suffered minor damage. The reasons of the incident were being investigated.
