Grounding near Novokemsky
In the evening of Sep 2, 2014, the "Volgobalt 210" ran aground at km 722 km on the Volga-Baltic Waterway,near the village of Novokemsky in the Vashkinsky district. The ship got stuck 15 meters from the shore when approaching the pier in Novokemske with a cargo of more than 1000 tons timber coming from Belozersk in Kaliningrad. Ship traffic was not affected. No damage, no spills reported. No damages reported, tug Ruslan underway to assist. m/v Volgo-Balt 210 en route Vytegra – Germany with 2053 cubic meters of logs.
