Ferry broke lose from moorings

On Aug 30, 2025, the 'AF Francesca', serving on the route Durrës-Bari, broke lose from its mooring at the quay in Durrës in a severe storm. Thanks to the immediate intervention of the maritime authorities, such as the Port Authority, the Durrës Port Authority and the ASHD Tugboat, the ferry could be reconnected and continued its normal navigation towards Bari. Allision in Durrës

The ferry 'AF Francesca', en route from Bari, allided with the berthed 'Rigel III' in the port of Durrës on Dec 23, 2024, at noon, leaving 1500 passengers stranded for several hours. Ship reached repair yard in Kostrena after fire
