Passenger injured in fall on board

Upon arrival of the 'Apollon #Hellas' in Aegina on Oct 24, 2019, at noon, a 75-year-old passenger was injured at the right upper and lower limbs after falling down the ladder. Immediately first aid was provided by the ship's crew and the victim then transferred to the Aegina Health Center. A preliminary investigation is carried out by the Aegina Port Authority.

Allision in Methana

In the afternoon of May 5, the "Apollon Hella" allided with an electric lighting pylon with its ramp during the mooring manoever in Methana on its scheduled service Poros-Methana-Aegina-Peiraia. The incident was caused by the strong wind in the area. Besides the fall of the pylon there was no other damage, and the ship has continued its voyage. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Methana Port Authority.

Water ingress off Argosaronikos

On Aug 6, 2018, around midday the port authority of Argosaronikos was informed about a mechanical damage and a leakage at a cooling pipe of the starboard side main engine of the "Apolllon Hellas". The ship was on its scheduled service from Piraeus to Aegina, Methana and Poros. It had 386 passengers, 41 vehicles, 21 bikes, six trucks and one bus on board. 279 passengers, 35 vehicles, 17 bikes, the trucks and the bus were forwarded to their destinations with another ferry, the others cared for by the shipowner. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Piraeus Port Authority in the port of Argosaronikos. The ferry was prohibited from sailing until the damage was repaired and a classification certificate issued by the relevant classification society.
