Cargo ship adrift off Odessa
On July 25, 2015, the "Arya" was adrift in the Black sea due to a mechanical Problem. The ship was en route from Ilyichevsk to Constanta when suffering a blackout several hours after leaving the port due to mechanical problem. The ship's engineers were working to resolve the problem and to resume the voyage, but the ship remained adrift e in southern direction. The local authorities contacted the vessel and understood the crew was not yet requesting assistance, but remained on standby to dispatch a tug and to start salvage operation in case needed. On July 26 the vessel was about 90 miles south of Odessa.
