Fire on vehicles carrier

In the morning of May 30, 2019, a fire occurred on the "Boi Branco" which was docked at the new Drapetsona pier of Keratsini port, just west of the main port of Piraeus. Three patrol boats, 11 tugs and the fire brigade with 25 men, eight fire engines were on scene. The 41 crew members were safely evacuated. The 2nd Kerathini Port Department of the Piraeus Central Port Authority detained the ship until a Classification of Seaworthiness Certificate was submitted by the classification society. Anti-pollution barriers were laid out around the ship. After three hours the fire was put out. The vessel sailed from the Drapetsona pier in Piraeus on June 21 at 6.45 p.m., bound to Cartagena, ETA June 25.
