Repairs at Tuzla commenced

The 'FG Levent' arrived at Tuzla anchorage and entered a shipyard on Sep 5 upon completion of formalities. A detailed damage survey was carried out by the class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent and shipyard engineers. Subsequently, permanent repairs have commenced by the technical team with regards to the class surveyor's further recommendations.

Technical failure at Varna

The 'FG Levent' suffered a technical failure at Varna on Aug 14. As repair works could not be carried out by the crew, the tug 'Ollan' was tasked to tow the ship to Tuzla. The towage operation has commenced on Aug 18. On Aug 20 at 8.30 p.m. the ship dropped anchor in pos. 40° 50.06' N 029° 13.12' E on Tuzla Anchorage.

Cargo shift in Strait of Dover

The "FG Levent" suffered a shift of its timber cargo and developed a heavy list in the afternoon of Dec 15, 2018, in the Strait of Dover, while en route from Antwerp to Skikda, with a crew of seven on board in pos. 51 10.56 N, 001 44.51 The crew was to let Dover Coastguard know when it has passed MPC or encounters further problems. Once the vessel crossed the MPC Buoy the French tug "Abeille Langedoc" towed the vessel to Calais anchorage where it moored at 7.50 p.m. in pos. 51° 4.64' N 001° 50.91' E.
