Medevac off Brest
On April 26, 2017, at 11:04 a.m., the CROSS Gris Nez was informed by the Maritime Medical Coordination Center of Toulouse that a crew member on board the "Le Jusant" fell ill. At 2:22 p.m., the decision was made to evacuate the sailor by helicopter to the Brest hospital. A Cayman helicopter of the French Navy with a medical team on board was mobilized. The ship was about 211 km west of Brest. At 3 p.m., the sailor was hoisted and taken to the Cavale Blanche hospital.
