Grimaldi ship diverted to Benghazi
On Jan 12, 2020 the Libyan military has boarded the 'Grande Baltimore' which was heading for Misrata port and diverted it to Benghazi in accordance with directives from the central command requesting a ban on the docking of any ship in the ports of Misrata and Khoms, which is under the control of the Tripoli militias. Once at the dock in Benghazi, the ship was thoroughly searched for a possible shipment of weapons. The ship’s crew was interrogated and an investigation was under way: On Jan 13 the ship was released and headed to Izmit with an ETA as of Jan 15.
