Ferry suffered issue with aft ramp
On Aug 24, the 'Loch Ranza' suffered a technical issue with the vessel's aft ramp. As a consequence, the service was operating single ended. Vehicles may be required to reverse on/off the vessel, and the service was liable to delays at short notice. After the he technical issue was successfully resolved, the service was operating again according to timetable. An additional sailing was operated with a departure from Gigha at 6:00 p.m.
Sailings suspended due to trouble with bilge system and works on rescue boat
The 'Loch Ranza', serving on the route Tayinloan-Gigha, required essential works to be carried out to the rescue boat on Aug 15. As a consequence, the following sailings had to be cancelled: Departure Tayinloan - 10:00 a.m. Departure Gigha - 10:30 a.m. The service was expected to resume at 11:00 a.m. from Tayinloan Already on Aug 13, repairs to the 'Loch Ranza’s bilge system were required, and the service was suspended. A passenger charter continued to operate. Engineers were on their way to the vessel to carry out repairs at its berth in Tayinloan. The.repairs have been completed on Aug 13, and the ferry resumed service with the 2:00 p.m. sailing from Tayinloan.
Ferry suffered issue with engine belt
The 'Loch Ranza', serving on the route Tayinloan.Gigha, suffered a technical issue with the engine belt on July 28, rendering the service liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. The following sailings were cancelled: DepartureTayinloan - 03:00 p.m.; Departure Gigha - 003:30 p.m. After the issue wasresolved, the service was resume at 04:00 p.m.
