Fuel injector pump trouble
A fuel injector pump of the 'MN Pelican' broke down on May 11 a 1.30 p.m. while the ship was enroute from Bilbao to Poole and needed a repair in position 50 11 03.0N, 003 27 19.0W, 7.5 miles Eastsoutheast of Start Point. After the ship wa underway again, it was still having issues with the fuel injector pump. The vessel proceeded 15 to 20 nautical miles offshore to conduct further investigations. On May 12 at 10.10 a.m. it safely berthed in Poole.
Ferry suffered oil cooling systeem trouble
The "MN Pelican", en route from Poole to Bilbao, loaded with trailers along with a crew of 22 on board, suffered a problem with the oil cooling system in position 050 10 06 N 002 58 02 W, on Aug 30, 2018. The Solent Coastguard was made aware of the incident at 10.30 p.m.. Repairs were completed by 03.15 on Aug 31, and the ship berthed in Bilbao on Sep 1 at 10.30 a.m.
Brittany Ferries extends charter of MN PELICAN
Brittany Ferries has extended the charter of the freight ro-ro MN PELICAN by a further two years.
