Grounded bulkcarrier refloated
The 'Navios Armonia' was was refloated on Dec 25 and was taken to the Krishnapatnam anchorage. Four tugs, the 'Ocean Tiara', 'Ocean Prestige', 'Dolphin No 34' and 'Dolphin No 36' took part in the operation. The vessel was located in pos. 14 15 35 N, 080 15 17 E, about 1,7 nautical miles from Krishnapatnam Anchorage 7.30 p.m.
Grounding off Krishnapatnam
The 'Navios Armonia' ran aground while entering its berth at the port of Krishnapatnam in the early morning of Dec 19, 2023, The port had issued letters to all vessel agents regarding the draft level for vessels sailing due to the aftermath of Cyclone "Michaung." Dredgers were involved in the process to refloat the vessel. The owner's agent and vessel agents had planned to refloat the vessel on Dec 26, which is full moon day with an expected high tide. It was stuck in pos. 14° 14.98' N 080° 09.74' E
