Engine failure due to clogged filters

On Oct 11, 2020, the 'Svitzer Brunel' suffered a failure of both main engines due to clogged fuel filters in position 52 35 08.9 N, 001 53 43.6 E. Both engines could be restarted, and the tug arrived in the Port of Tees on Oct 13. It sailed again on Oct 30 at 1.10 p.m., headed to Immingham, where it arrived the same evening and left, bound to Gravesend, on Nov 4 with an ETA as of Nov 5.

Clogged filters disabled tug

Both main engines of the 'Svitzer Brunel' stpped on Oct 11, 2020, at 4.45 p.m. while the tug was en route from London to Teesport in position 52 35 08.9 N, 001 53 43.6 E. The failure was caused by clogged fuel filters. The port side engine started at 5 p.m., and the starboard engine started at 5.08 hp.m., so that the vessel could resume the voyage. It berthed in Great Yarmouth at 10.30 p.m.
