Freighter released months after arrest
The "Tatarbunay" left Istanbul on Oct 23, 2016, and as was anchored off Tulcea on Oct 28. The ship had been arrested in Istanbul while en route from the Ukraine on July 14, after the police found a big shipment of contraband cigarettes on board weighing some 100 tons, with a market value of some $9 mil. The vessel has now been released thanks to Ukrainian authorities,
