Teunis on the dam
In the evening of Apr 23, 2012, the "Teunis" with four ore loaded barges with on the whole 14,000 tons ran into trouble after running into a pierhead at Terneuzen. Two of the barges were stuck on the dam, and two went adrift after the wires broke. The tug "Zeebrugge 11" of Multratug took the barges in tow and moored them at the pilings on the Outer WestPort in Terneuzen. The "Annastrand" and "Braakman" refloated the grounded barges and pulled them to the side of the fairway for inspection before they joined the others. After the inspection was completed the "Teunis" was reconnected and continued her journey. The "Multratug 6" was also scene but did not have to take action.
