Fisherman lost finger in accident
The Norwegian patrol boat "Harstad" assisted a crew member aboard the 2Vasiliy Golovon" on April 21, 2019, with medical treatment at Bjørnøya in the fishery zone at Svalbard. The fisherman had lost a finger. The "Harstad" had a doctor on board who gave the necessary first aid before the victim was taken ashore with another vessel. Trawler disabled off Bjørnøya
The "Vasiliy Golovnin" was disabled by a trawl in its propeller on June 28, 2015, about 30 nm off Bjørnøya. The Norwegian Coastguard tasked the "Andenes" to assist.
