Main engine trouble after yard maintenance

The Port Authority of Perama was informed in the evening of Sep 11, 2023, by the Master of the 'Flying Dolphin Venus I", that en route from Perama to Agistri following a maintenance, a malfunction was found in the port side main engine before starting the scheduled route from the port of Agistrio to the ports of Aegina and Piraeus. The Perama Port Department of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus prohibited the ship from sailing, until the damage was repaired. The affected passengers were informed by the ship's owning company.

Engine malfunction in Aegina

The 'FD Venus I', en route from Aegina to Piraeus, suffered a malfunction of the port side main engine on Nov 9, 2019, at noon. As a result, the Aegina Port Authority detained the vessel in port until the engine was repaired and a class survey certificate was issued. The passengers on board were transferred to another vessel for their journey to Piraeus.

Engine trouble off Piraeus

The Port Authority of Piraeus was informed by the captain of the "Flying Dolphin 1" in the morning of Aug 17 about a mechanical damage to the starboard side main engine. The vessel safely arrived at the port of Piraeus on its scheduled route from the ports of Poros, Methana and Aegina and disembarked the 28 passengers. The Port Authority concerned detained the ship until repair were carried out and a class certificate presented by the relevant classification society.
