Engine damage in Instanbul Strait
The "Volga 4009" ,en route from Rostov on Don to Diliskelesi suffered a technical failure during its passage of the Istanbul Strait on Apr 20, 2018, at 7 a.m. The vessel dropped anchor at Buyukdere. The passage permission was temporarily cancelled by the strait authority until repairs were completed. On Apr 22 the vessel was still stationary in pos. N 40° 45.65' E 029° 26.66' on Gebze anchorage. It left the Istanbul region on Apr 30 at 10.10 a.m. and arrived in Rostov-on-Don on May 7 and left the port again on May 13 at 2.45 a.m., bound to Hereke, ETA May 16.
