Canadian Coast Guard officials stated that there was still no timeline for when the 'Thamesborg' might be refloated. Wagenborg, the Dutch maritime logistics company and operator of the vessel, said in a statement on Sep 11 that a salvage master and naval architect were expected to join the 'Thamesborg' by the end of the week. The ship remained stable in its location, with no pollution or environmental threat. The Canadian Coast Guard lso also uses satellite-based environmental monitoring technology in addition to the two vessels on-site, the CCGS 'Sir Wilfrid Laurier' and the CCGS 'Jean Goodwill'. Both icebreakers on site have pollution equipment that can be used if needed.Aerial surveys have been done, and a ROV completed an inspection of the vessel on Sep 8.

ROSAIRE A. DESGAGNES
Investigators from the Transportation Safety Board arrived in St. John’s on Sep 12, 2025, to board and assess the 'Rosaire A. Desgagnés', which had ran aground in te Pelly Bay, Nunavut, on Aug 23, 2025,with 25 people on board. The ship was en route to a remote area with community resupply cargo. It was refloated at high tide and then anchored for a damage assessment before proceeding to St. John’s on its own.
CAPT.JOSEPH E PEARCE
On the evening of Sep 9, 2025, the 'Capt. Joseph E. Pearce' caused an oil spill in New Bedford. U.S. Coast Guard crews responded, after the offshore supply vessel leaked fuel during an internal transfer operation. Officials with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP) and the Coast Guard estimated that about 216 gallons of marine diesel entered the water before the discharge was secured. Containment booms and absorbent pads were deployed quickly to stop the spread and recover the oil. OCEAN VIKING
The Norwegain Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a diplomatic note to Libya describing the attack on the 'Ocean Viking' in the Mediterranean as unacceptable and demanded that the Libyan authorities investigate the incident when the 'Ocean Viking' was fired upon by the so-called Libyan Coastguard in international waters on Aug 24 and asked to introduce measures to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The serious incident that the vessel, crew and others on board at risk, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated. A total of 120 people, nine crew members and 111 survivors from previous rescue operations, were on board the ship when it was fired upon. SOS Méditerranée, which operates the ship together with the Red Cross, stated that hundreds of shots were fired. No one was injured, and the ship suffered minor damage. The ship had only rescued 47 migrants, including nine minors, off Libya, on Aug 23. Many of them were fleeing the war in Sudan.
SPASATEL ILJIN
On Sep 10, 2025, the 'Spasatel Iljin' was hit near near Yuzhnaya Ozereevka off Novorossiysk by an aerial long range drone of the Ukraine, 400 km from the frontline. The captain Roman Goroshkov was injured and had to be hospitalized with multiple shrapnel injuries. The drone destroyed the ship’s navigation, communication, and electronic reconnaissance systems. The vessel was disabled and in need of expensive repairs. With up to one-third of its Black Sea Fleet destroyed in occupied Crimea, Russia previously moved the rest to Novorossiysk and other remote ports.
