Crew of cruise ship recovered body

Enroute from Málaga to Mallorca the crew of the "Aida Prima" remarked a body in the sea on OCt 24, 2019. The ship stopped, and an MOB alarm was launched. The passengers were advised to leave all outer areas. Then the man was recovered. To ensure it did not belong to the crew or passengers of the cruise ship, all were mustered and accounted for. The ship then continued its voyage to Palma de Mallorca where the body was handed over to the authorities.

Also call at Nyäshamn skipped

The 'Aidaprima' also had to skip the call at Nynäshamn after leaving out St. Petersburg so passengers will not get to Stockholm. The seawalk in Nynäshamn cannot be used if wind speeds exceed 10 meters per second. The ship berthed on Warnemünde Cruise Port on Oct 4 at 9 a.m. instead. It will return to Kiel on Oct 5. Passengers were promised to get reimbursed.

Call at St. Petersburg had to be skipped

The "Aidaprima" had to skip its call at St. Petersburg on Oct 1, 2019, due to inclement weather with wind speeds of upto 40 knots. Captain Marc-Dominique Tidow thus decided not to dare to enter the port, but had to remain in Russian waters as he had already entered these and needed a permission to leave them. The ship will now have an unplanned day at sea. During the trip to Helsinki nine Beaufort wind force were forecast. On Oct 3 the ship planned to call at Nynäshamn before returning to Kiel on Oct 5.
