Repairs in Ceyhan underway
A new set of spare parts has been provided by the owners of the 'Muammer Bey' from an authorized manufacturer. Upon completion of repairs, sea trials will be carried out at the anchorage area of Ceyhan under the supervision of a class surveyor and the owner's superintendent. The vessel remained stationary at the Toros Gubre Terminal as of July 18.
Repairs in Ceyhan underway
After the 'Muammer Bey' arrived at the Toros Gubre Terminal in Ceyhan and berthed on May 17 upon completion of arrival formalities, a class surveyor together with the owner's technical superintendent attended on board and carried out a detailed damage survey. Subsequently, a new set of spare parts was provided by the owners from authorized manufacturer. Shore based technical support team attended from the head office in order to provide further support to the crew during the repairs. At the same time, cargo discharge operation were carried out by stevedore team. The departure permission was cancelled by the Harbour Master until completion of permanent repairs together with the class surveyor's verification and written approval.
Tug changed in Marmaris
The 'Muammer Bey' dropped anchor at Marmaris anchorage on May 2. The attended tug changed, and the tug 'Kurtkulagi' (IMO: 7615983) took over the towage of the vessel from Marmaris to Iskenderun. The towage operation re-commenced on May 9 with an ETA at Iskenderun as of May 13.
