Container ship rescued 122 boat people
The 'Navios Vermilion', en route from Aliaga to Piraeus, resued 122 boat people 87 nautical miles south of Rhodes on Aug 7, 2022. The ship proceeded to a safe place, where they were transferred to a Greek patrol vessel and safely transported to the port of Kos. All were in good health. A preliminary investigation was carried out by the Port Authority of Kos. The ship berthed at the Piraues Container Terminal on Aug 7.
