Container ship involved in storm accidents
Seven gantry cranes at a container terminal in Busan were pushed along by strong winds in the night of Nov 10, 2019, while they were handling berthed container ships, among them the 'Sunny Freesia' which had come from Akita and docked at the CJ Korea Express Busan Container Terminal at 3.20 a.m. Containers held by one crane hit containers on the ships’ deck. Containers with aluminum pipes or rods crashed down on pier, spilling its’ cargo. On Nov 11 she remained stationary. All seven cranes suffered damages, but by Nov 11 three were already operational again.
