The fisheries and oceanographic research vessel was sailing13 nautical miles off Cabo Roig at that time. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SRA boat 'Salvamar Leo' from the station in Alicante to assist, which disembarked the patient from board and transported him to Torrevieja, where an ambulance was waiting for the further transport to a hospital. The 'Lady T', which had been seized by French authorities for fishing for whelks without a licence, has been released, The skipper of the Lady T, who appeared in a court in Boulogne-sur-Mer on the afternoon of May 26, has been ordered to pay a substantial fine. The exact amount has not been disclosed. The skipper was very co-operative when being questioned by French authorities. The 'Lady T' left the port of Boulogne sure Mer at 4 p.m. UK time.
