Houthi terrorist claimed a drone attack on the 'Santa Ursula' in the Arabian Sea on Dec. 27, 2024, stating that several drones hit the vessel near Socotra Island, calling the strike a response to a violation of its blockade on occupied Palestinian ports by the ship's owner. The ontainer ship had been heading for Oman from the port of Algeciras, before suddenly losing its AIS signal on Dec 25 at around 11.40 p.m. GMT. The ship was transmitting signals again off the üort of Salah early on Dec. 27.

The 'Cape Star' was boarded by five perpetrators, armed with knives & gun-like objects, on Dec 17, 2024, at 11.53 a.m. about 2.5 nautical miles northwest of Pulau Cula in pos. 1°4.81' N 103° 41.9' E, in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait (SS). The intruders stole engine spares and escaped. No injuries were reported.

The 'Front Eagle' was boarded by three perpetratos on Dec 22, 2024, at 6.05 a.m. in pos. 1° 3.75' N 103° 39'81' E about 3.2 nautical miles west of Pulau, while the tanker was underway in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait (SS). Nothing was reported stolen.

On Dec 9, 2024, a barge, towed by the 'HK Tug 9' was boarded by 20 unarmed perpetrators in the South China Sea, about 8.4 nautical miles northeast of the Horsburgh Lighthouse in pos. 11° 25.45' S 104° 30.55' E. The pirates stole scrap metal. No injuries were reported.

The 'HK 9' along with the top deck cargo barge 'LKH 2882' was approached by 10 perpetrators on July 15, 2024, at 9.40 a.m. in pos. 1° 16.1' N 104° 13'37' E, about 7,5 nautical miles vom Tanjung Tondong. The pirates stole scrap metal from the cargo of the towed barge. No injuries were reported.
