BAYESIAN
The salvors from Smit Salvage and Hebo have made good progress in recovering the 'Bayesian' While the plan was to lift the hull at the end of June, this will happen on une 21, if the weather is suitable. Last week, the stern of the yacht was lifted by th crane 'Hebolift 10' so far that the eight slings could be passed under the ship in the right place. On June 17, the ship's 72-meter mast was cut loose with a remote-controlled diamond saw wire. The mast was placed on the seabed and will be raised later. The hull then straightened up quite a bit. In the coming days the ship will be completely righted before being raised. On June 22 the 'Hebolift 10' will sail with the yacht in the slings to the port of Termini Imerese, where it will be deposited on the shore, if everything goes according to plan.

ADALYNN
An oil slick spanning approximately six square miles has formed in the Gulf of Oman off the coast of Iran and the UAE following the collision of the 'Adalynn' and the 'Front Eagle'. The spill, which covered 1.47 square miles) on June 17, hadsquadrupled in size within 24 hours, creating a potential environmental disaster in the region. The 'Adalynn' is part of Russia’s shadow fleet, has previously transported Russian oil from the Russian port of Ust-Luga in violation of the G7 price cap, using tactics like disabling its AIS in order to avoid detection. Despite officially reporting that it was carrying no cargo, the ship’s draft of 9.3 meters suggested it may have been transporting up to 70,000 tons of crude oil. The origin of the cargo on this voyage remains unconfirmed. However, it was most likely transferred from another vessel. Between May 1 and the time of the collision, the 'Adalynn' had been circling in the same area of the Gulf of Oman, suggesting possible ship-to-ship transfers of crude oil. Prior to that, the tanker had been docked at the port of Duqmand made periodic trips into the Gulf of Oman. The last confirmed direct loading took place at the port of Ust-Luga in September 2024, after which the vessel returned to Duqm and visited several other ports in the region. The 'Adalynn's listed owner is the Global Shipping Holding Ltd, in Antigua-Barbuda with a mailing addres in an older office complex in Navi Mumbai, which is home to multiple logistics, seafarer training and ship management firms, but has no public directory to confirm whether the 'Adalynn's operator is a tenant. The Indian company operates two aging tankers, besides the 'Adalynn' the 'Carcharodon' (IMO: 9258882), which is also sanctioned by the UK for transporting Russian oil. Both tankers are sanctioned by the government of Ukraine for their involvement in Russia's shadowy oil trade. No records of the Global Shipping Holding Ltd. exist in OpenCorporates, the world’s largest open database of corporate entities. Ship tracking data also indicated that the 'Adalynn' may lack P&I (Protection and Indemnity) insurance, without which any liability for environmental or other damages would fall solely on the vessel’s owner. After the collision, the operator of the 'Front Eagle', Frontline, attempted to get in touch with the 'Adalynn's owners, but found that it could not find an individual to talk to. Frontline had to find out from a local agent - not the shipowner - that the 'Adalynn's crew made it safely ashore and were lodged in a hotel. The 'Front Eagle' remained anchored in pos. 25° 14' N 056° 34' E as of June 19. Report with photos: https://theins.ru/en/news/282263

MSC ELSA 3
The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on June 18 said that due to the prevailing peak monsoon conditions and associated operational risks, it will take more time to extract oil from the 'MSC Elsa 3'. The weather conditions provided only a narrow and fragmented working window, which is unsuitable for stable and safety. A further delay would provide a more reliable window to safely conduct hot tapping and oil recovery. The 'Nand Saarthi', from where saturation diving operations for oil extraction were to be conducted, remains at Kochi port due to the prevailing adverse sea conditions. Upon improvement in weather, it will sail to the wreck site. Oil recovery equipment onboard the 'Nand Saarthi' is to be transferred to Canara Megh for the next phase. All accessories and gases remain available and are being held for deployment once the new contractor takes over, The 'Seamac III' has been demobilised and was proceeding to Mumbai as all the leaks have been plugged. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has conducted aerial sorties using Dornier aircraft equipped with Pollution Surveillance Systems (PSS) to look for any oil slicks, No oil slick has been observed approximately 60 nautical miles from the wreck site. Additional sorties are planned to continue monitoring the situation. Satellite imagery from the International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF) was awaited to confirm whether there were any shoreline and offshore oil traces. Regarding washed up plastic nurdles, approximately 65-75 tons were now stored shore-side, awaiting a final disposal decision. the Marine Emergency Response Centre (MERC) has continued container recovery activities at Kollam, focusing on submerged containers using divers. Beach cleanup operations continued across Thiruvananthapuram with approximately 160 volunteers deployed, ,The intermittent rains have slowed down the clean-up work on some days,
GERMAN WARSHIP A1411
The 'Berlin' allided with the lock head in Wilhelmshaven, between the two chambers of the 4th entrance on the evening of June 15, 2025, causing significant damage. The ship had left its berth at the repair pier in the North Harbor at 7:10 p.m. and, assisted by three tugs, was supposed to enter the west chamber to exit the lock. The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. The "Berlin" initially returned to its previous berth. No one was injured. However, the wheelhouse for the measuring station in the North Harbour was completely destroyed. The lock subsequently had to be closed because it was unclear whether there was debris on the bottom near the rail on which the sliding gate is moved. Divers from the Jade Divers were mobilized on the morning of Jue 16 to search the area. By the afternoon, all fallen stones from the bottom of the lock entrance could be recovered, and the Waterways and Shipping Authority (WSA) Weser-Jade-North Sea in Wilhelmshaven could reopen the west chamber again. The only visible dent on the starboard side of the "Berlin" was below the crest on the bow. There were neither structural damages nor technical malfunctions on board, meaning the vessel was able to begin its planned training program at sea on June 1 The WSA has now appointed am expert to make suggestions for safety measures for the collapsed building before the remains can be demolished. A container was set up at the lock head as a control center. According to the Weser-Jade-North Sea Waterways and Shipping Authority, an investigation was underway to determine whether the house needs to be completely replaced.
