GURE AMUITZ

On Aug 13, 2025, the medical evacuation of a crew member of the 'Gure Amuitz' was requested from the hospital ship 'Juan de la Cosa',about 43 nauutical miles northeast of Burela. The CCS Fisterra of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 204, which hoisted the fisherman and transported him to A Coruña Airport, where an ambulance was waiting for further transport to hopsital for medical care on a higher level.

On Aug 14, 2025, there was the request for a medical evacuation of an 88-year-old passenger from the 'Ciudad de Sóller, en route from Palma to Valencia, 59 nautical miles off the coast. The CCS Valencia of Salvamento Marítimo deployed the SAR helicopter Helimer 223, whichhoisted the patient and transferred him to the La Fe Hospital for further medical treatment.
