The Houthi terrorists allegedly targeted the British destroyer HMS 'Diamond', the 'Norderney' and the 'MSC Tavvishi' on June 8. According to the British maritime security company Ambrey, the 'Norederney' was hit by a missile 83 nautical miles southeast of Aden. A second missile was sighted but did not hit the ship. A fire broke out, but was put out. People in small boats in the vicinity had opened fire on the ship during the incident. The captain of the vessel assured that the crew was safe. Damage control work was being carried out. The captain of the vessel reported that there were no injuries, and that the ship is heading towards its next port of destination. US Centcom forces destroyed four UASs (unmanned aircraft system or drones) and two ASBMs in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, in addition to destroying a Houthi patrol boat in the Red Sea. On June 6, CENTCOM said it had destroyed eight UASs and two uncrewed surface vessels (USV) in the Red Sea.

On June 7, 2024, the 'Pacific Honor', while sailing 355 nautical miles east of Mogadishu, was approached by a suspicious small boat. The master of the vessel stated that the small boat with six armed people on board, came close to one and a half miles to the vessel which had armed guards on board. However, the boat departed at that point, and the bulk carrier continued its voyage from Mina Saqr to Mombarsa with an ETA as of June 10.

On June 5, 2024, at 12.40 a.m. WIB the 'Avatar of Courage' became the victim of a robbery attempt in the waters of Batu Ampar, Batam, in pos. 01 09' 505" N 103 58" 580" E in Batu Ampar Waters, Batam. The Tanjung Uban Sea and Coast Guard Base Office, a boarding team of the KN 'Rantos P-210' together with the Navy Ship KAL 'Mapor' responded following reports of two unidentified people boarding the ship carrying a sharp machete. After receiving the report, the KN 'Rantos P-210' was mobilized and the Boarding Officer Team immediately moved towards the 'Avatar Courage'. The KN 'Rantos' carried out radio communication and received information from the Captain that all the doors of the ship had been locked wotj tje two people trying to open thm . At 02.00 a.m. WIB the rubber boat of the KN 'Rantos P-210' and KAL 'Mapor' arrived at the location and went alongside. The Boarding Team immediately searched the entire ship but did not find the two people. At 02.30 WIB the Boarding Team ensured that conditions on board the ship were safe and carried out security patrols until 03.10 a.m. when the 'Avatar Courage' was declared completely safe. At 03.38 a.m. both vessels departed again for Bintang Persada Harbor, Batam, completing the security operation successfully.
