The Unified Command on May 1 has recovered the body of another missing victim at the Key Bridge incident site on May 1. The victim was identified as Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez, 49, of Glen Burnie, Maryland. AFter the Unified Command salvage teams had located one of the missing construction vehicles, it promptly notified the Maryland Department of State Police. Maryland State Police investigators along with officers from the Maryland Transportation Authority Police and the FBI responded to the scene and recovered the body of the construction worker inside a red truck. Assistance was also provided by the Maryland State Police Underwater Recovery Team and Crime Scene Unit. Salvage crews within the Key Bridge Unified Command were preparing for the removal of the piece of bridge lying on top of the 'Dali'. The operation required careful handling of roadbed material, crushed containers, and bridge fragments currently resting on the bow. The salvage teams were meticulously preparing for the refloat of the DALI, ensuring all aspects of the wreckage impacts are thoroughly evaluated and addressed. On April 30, the CROSS Gris-Nez was informed that several migrant boats were in difficulty in the Strait of Pas-de-Calais. On the morning, a boat requested assistance off the coast of Audinghen, and the CROSS Gris-Nez deployed the 'Minck', which rescued two people. Several people still on board the boat refused the assistance offered by French rescue services and continued on their way. The people rescued by the 'Minck' were then dropped off at the dock in Calais. On the evening, the CROSS Gris-Nez engaged the BSAM 'Rhône' to assist a boat in difficulty off the coast of Sangatte, which picked up a family of five people including three children. Several people still on board the boat refused the assistance offered by French means and continued on their way. The people picked up by the 'Rhône' were then dropped off at the dock in Calais.
ADAMANTIOS KORAIS
In the morning hours of May 2, 2024, the Port Authority of Alexandroupoli was informed that during the mooring process of the 'Adamantios Koreis', en route from the port of Samothraki, the passenger ramp pulled the mooring cable which caused the ramp to deform and the lower plate to detach o a length of about 30 centimeters. The passengers disembarked safely, with no injuries reported. The Central Port Authority of Alexandroupoli banned the ferry from sailing until the damage was repaired. Upon presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society, it was allowed to sail to the port of Samothraki.
KRITI II
On May 2, 2024, at noon the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed about the malfunction of a generator of the 'Kriti II' en route from the port of Heraklion to the port of Piraeus at 7.20 p.m. The ship was towed to port and safely disembarked the 131 passengers along with their vehicles. The Port Department of Tzelepi, which conducted the preliminary investigation, bannded the ferry from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society. The ship remained stationary as of May 5.
SALVAMAR DRACO
On the afternoon of May 3, 2024, a pPassing ship reported a boat sailing eight nautical miles from Cabode Palos. The RCC in Cartagena of Salvamento Marítimo mobilizd the 'Salvamar Draco', which located the boat and rescues the 18 people who were on board. SERGEY KUCHKIN
The "Sergey Kuchkin" ran aground near Tolyatti on May 1, 2024, en route from Samara to Nizhny Novgorod, at about 3:25 p.m. Moscow time at the exit from lock No. 22 on the Volga. There were 216 passengers and 96 crew members on board. The Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation. The ship did not suffer any damage and there were no casualties. It has been refloated and sent to the pier of the Togliatti river station.
MSC ARIES
On May 3 the Iran has released the 25 crew members of the 'MSC Aries', while the vessel remains under judicial detention. The Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian stated that Iran still maintained control of the vessel. The release of the crew was deemed a humanitarian gesture, allowing them to return to their respective countries along with the ship’s captain. Iran’s foreign ministry previously stated that the 'MSC Aries' was seized for violating maritime laws and alleged ties to Israel. The vessel was leased by MSC from Gortal Shipping, a subsidiary of Zodiac Maritime, partially owned by the Israeli businessman Eyal Ofer.

On the morning of May 1, 2024, the CROSS Gris-Nez was informed by the Dieppe semaphore that a migrant boat was off the coast of Dieppe ad deployed the lifeboaat 'SNS 080 - Notre Dame de Bonsecours' from the SNSM station in Dieppe, on exercise in the area, to check the situation of the boat. The SNSM launch was then relieved by the 'Yser' of the Maritime Gendarmerie, which reached the boat in difficulty on the afternoon. The 'Yser' recovered 66 castaways including women and children. They were then dropped off at the port of Dieppe where they were taken care of by the land rescue services and the border police.
BLUE STAR PATMOS
In the afternoon hours of May 2, 2024, the Port Authority of Syros was informed about the emergency approach of the 'Blue Star Patmos' in the port. The ferry had deviated from its scheduled route, in order to disembark a sick passenger.

In the early morning of May 4, 2024, the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed about a cable jamming the propeller of the 'Blue Star 1' in the port of Piraeus. An inspection was carried out by a diving crew, and the obstruction was removed from the ship's propeller shaft. Upon presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society, the ship departed from the port of Piraeus with 1229 passengers on board for its scheduled route to the ports of Syros, Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos, Kos and Rhodes.

MSC ORION
When the 'MSC Orion' was attacked by drones on April 26 in the Arabian Sea , she was aboout 375 miles off the Yemeni coast, sailing between East Africa and the port of Salalah, having apparently rounded the Cape to avoid having to travel through the Red Sea. The 'MSC Orion' had departed from the port of Sines on April 6 and was last reported by AIS passing the Comoros on April 24. After the attack, wreckage from the drone was apparently discovered on the vessel. No serious damage was reported. There were no injuries to the crew. It was, however, the furthest from Houthi-controlled sections of Yemen that a missile or drone attack has been carried out, meaning that no ship sailing in the Gulf of Aden or the Arabian Sea off the Yemen coast can be considered safe from attack. The 'MSC OrionÄ, on charter to the Swiss/Italian company, ise connected with London-based Zodiac Maritime, which in turn forms part of Israeli millionaire shipowner Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Group. Her nominal ownership is listed as Bafalo Shipping Inc., care of MSC in Switzerland, with the ship management also in the hands of MSC via its Cyprus office since the ship entered service in January 2020.

In the morning of May 4, 2024, the CROSS Gris-Nez was informed that a migrant boat was in difficulty off the coast of Calais and depoloyed the 'Ridens' to assist. It launched a boat to reach the position and recovered the 22 castaways on board. A Dauphin helicopter was also engaged to ensure that no other person was in difficulty. The castaways were dropped off at the port of Calais where they were taken care of by the shore based rescue services and the border police. POWER JET
On the afternoon of May 2, 2024,, the 'Power Jet' on its scheduled route from Piraeus to the ports of Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini with 1106 passengers and 31 crew members on board, experienced an increase of temperature in one of the four main engines five nauztical miles east of Aegina. The ship sailed under its own power to the port of Syros, and after presenting a certificate of seaworthiness from the monitoring classification society, it was permitted to continue its approved route to the next ports with 820 passengers on board.
KLM BERLIAN 01
On May 4, 2024, at 9 a.m. WIB the KLM 'Berlian 01' sank due to wind and high waves in the waters of Rangsang Island, Meranti Islands, en route from Pasir Gudang, Johor Malaysia to the Pulau Meranti Regency. On My 4, 2024, the 'Sea Marine 1' suffered an engine malfunction in front of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge en route from the Laconian Gulf STS Offshore to Russia and needded assistance. Under the coordination of our Çanakkale VTS Center, the hip was taken in tow by the tug 'Kurtarma 3' and taken to the Şevketiye anchorage, where it was moored in pos. 40° 56.49' N 028° 46.47' E and remained stationary as of May5 with the tanker 'Bilal Bey' (MMSI: 271010693) alongside.
