Sea trials were continuing to gather data on the issue, and a specialist engineer was expected to attend the vessel later this week. During this period, the ferries 'Glen Sannox' and 'Alfred' continued to operate the route Troon-Brodick to the following timetable. The booking system of CalMac was currently closed for new bookings and amendments, and impacted customers were contacted as soon as possible, and in date order of sailings / bookings. Due to the further delay of the 'Caledonian Isles' returning to service, buses continued to operate between Ardrossan port and Troon port for foot passengers until further notice. FAIRPLAY
The 'Fairplay' could finally be refloated on the afternoon of June 15. The captain took advantage of the fact that the river's water level had risen again after heavy rain falls on June 15.. Another cargo shi, the "Vaiana" (MMSI: 205393890), proceeded from the West Port in Regensburg. It initially attempted to create waves by passing in order to free the "Fairplay." When that failed, the "Vaiana" stopped, attached ropes, and finally pulled the "Fairplay" free. The operation took several minutes. The 'Fairplay' then entered the West Port of Regensburg with own power on June 17 at 10.30 a.m, where a part of the cargo of iron ore will be unloaded. The bottom of the Danube was being investigated at the scene of the incident. Therefore, ships could not pass each other in the affected area for the time being.
