The Kefalonia Port Authority was informed in the afternoon of Sep 18, 2019, that a 79-year-old passenger of the "MSC Sinfonia" had fallen ill while the ship was west of Zakynthos and was in need of immediate hospital care. The patient was medevaced and then transported to the port of Argostoli, where he was transferred to the Kefallinia General Hospital by ambulance.
The 'Michipicoten', coming from Sault Ste. Marie, allided with the Sterling Fuels dock while berthing in Windsor, Ontario, on Sep 17, 2019, at 4.50 p.m. Both the vessel and the dock were undergoing a damage assessment. The ship berthed in Detrot at 10.10 p.m. the same day before contiuing on Sep 18 at 9.15 p.m. to Brucemines.

The Thira Port Authority was informed in the early morning of Sep 19, 2019, about an injury of a 56-year-old passenger of the "MSC Opera" which was anchored in the Fira bay off Thira. He had slipped on a ladder, causing him to lose his balance and to fall and hit his left shoulder. The man was transferred to the patrol boat "Kapitan Koulis" which took him to shore from where he was transported by ambulance to the Santorini Central Medical Center and then to the Thera General Hospital.
The "Akinsi" was pushed aground by strong winds and high seas at the southeast coast of the Kerch Strait near Taman on Sep 18, 2019. The hopper was trying to change its anchorage in order to get further off the coastline in deteriorating weather. The crew of nine remained on board and was safe to date.
On Sep 19, 2019, at 2 a.m. the "Swiss Crown" (EU-No: 07001725) allided with a railway bridge over the Mosel in Konz. The wheelhouse was severly damaged. The master had misjudged the height and did not lower it enough. The whole roof was torn off. No one was injured. The ship had on board 70 passengers and was headed to Trier at the end of a one week cruise which ended one day earlier now. The damage to the ship was estimated to be in the six-didgit-region, but it remained manoeverable and was able to proceed to the industry port in Trier for investigations and repairs. The railway traffic of the CFL society in Luxemburg was interrupted after the accident and replacement traffic offered between Konz and Luxemburg until the bridge was inspected and found to be undamaged. the 'Point Vim' suffered a problem with its propulsion system after its departure from Port of Matane, Quebec, in position 48 50 31.3 N, lng 067 34 41.5 W, on Sep 15, 2019, at 3.15 p.m. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel returned to service.
On Sep 19, 2019, around 6 p.m. the "Phantom", enroute from Gothenburg, where it had sailed at 2.15 p.m., to Lidköping with a cargo of coke and coal, ran aground and suffered water ingress on the Göta River at Lilla Edet. The ship developed a slight list, and eight units of the Maritime and Air Rescue Center attended. The shop backed off from the shallow with own engine and berthed at s pier on the Göta Alv where divers inspected the hull. The "Nero" was still lying on its side at Dock No.1, managed and supervised by Messrs. Amico & Co in charge for the repairs. The shipyard gave no precise information on what will happen.On Sep 18 was the last chance Amico & Co was given to clear the area, which shall be destined to Messrs. Cimolai, within Sep 24. The operations were slowing down due to the difficulty of the operation. The vessel could possibly be lifted up by balloons preventing it from sustaining further damage, with an estimated cost of operation from five to 30 million Euros. The provincial fire department of Genoa said that the vessel had tilted because of a technical error, which had required the intervention of emergency services. The vessel was in a stable condition.
